This piece will always be a favorite
of mine. I actually created the Manta
Ray first. By itself it was not exciting
enough so I created the entire reef
just to give the Manta a home. The
last thing I added was the starfish
but it added so much to the piece
that I named it "Starfish World".
My very favorite and also my
very first 3-D sculpture. I
created this piece 5 years
ago now. I considered it
finished until I found this
rock by complete accident.
The perfect concentric ring
pattern that matched the
already created sculpture is
just a stroke of blind luck that
I will probably never be able
to duplicate. This is the
piece I am not sure I should
have sold but it now resides
in the  very caring home of
an animal rights activist.
I had the good fortune to spend
some time last May in Akumal
Mexico with some good friends.
Akumal bay is filled with
protected green sea turtles.
While I am the worst snorkeler
on this planet I did spend
some time underwater with
these fantastic little guys. All
they seemed to care about was
getting a good mouthful of sea
grass. While not my usual
"action moment" it was
interesting and accurate.
