:: "Siren"  Hammered Metal on Stained Glass.  Available for Purchase ::
The inspiration for this piece was a
photo I saw of a model lying in
shallow water. The effect of looking
into the water to see her form gave
me the idea to use blue stained
glass to represent the water. The
"construction" photo shows the
pieces prior to separating them
forever on opposite sides of the
"water".

This is one of my classic "snap
shot of action" pieces. I love to
create that moment when
something dramatic is about to
happen.

Framing.
This piece will always be a favorite
of mine. I actually created the Manta
Ray first. By itself it was not exciting
enough so I created the entire reef
just to give the Manta a home. The
last thing I added was the starfish
but it added so much to the piece
that I named it "Starfish World".
My very favorite and also my very
first 3-D sculpture. I created this
piece 5 years ago now. I
considered it finished until I found
this rock by complete accident. The
perfect concentric ring pattern that
matched the already created
sculpture is just a stroke of blind
luck that I will probably never be
able to duplicate. This is the piece I
am not sure I should have sold but
it now resides in the  very caring
home of an animal rights activist.
I had the good fortune to spend
some time last May in Akumal
Mexico with some good friends.
Akumal bay is filled with protected
green sea turtles. While I am the
worst snorkeler on this planet I did
spend some time underwater with
these fantastic little guys. All they
seemed to care about was getting
a good mouthful of sea grass.
While not my usual "action
moment" it was interesting and
accurate.

a traditional Salmon in my own 3-D
style and this was the result. On
